Making fun of Scott Hall...

posted Apr 09, 2011 16:42:41 by Jack Newbury
is it in bad form?

When I checked Twitter this morning, Truman had hooked us up with a tweet about Scott Hall embarrassed himself. As a fuckin' journalist, I followed up. Some dude called me out on Twitter for making fun of Scott Hall.

@thePOWERBOMBcom Not at all. Making fun of Scott Hall is like kicking a dead horse. And honestly it's fucking disgusting.

I assume dude is saying Scott Hall is disgusting. But, it got me wondering, has making fun of inebriated wrestlers who can't function something that has jumped the shark?

I'll be crushed if it has.

Is it in bad form? Who's to say? I don't get offended by it.

It's a sad story, but for fucks sake, when is someone actually going to kick Hall in his ass and get him the fuck away from wrestling?

Truman, that is a good point. I almost made it in a comment on my original post. But, addiction is one sad thing, trying to be in front of the public and perform or do appearances, well, just stay away.

I personally wouldn't do it but I'm not going to call anyone out for it. Hell, my gamertag on Live is ScottHallisFat ...

It just makes me think there was a REAL reason he didn't show up to the HOF ceremony because sobriety is far from the reason.

It's a bad circle for the guy in a way. I'm fairly certain the guy didn't save most of his money, what with a divorce or two he went through. Plus, spending what I assume is loads of money on child support and partying, he needs to earn a living. He's at an age and in a condition where nobody is looking to hire him for real work, so he has to pursue wrestling cause that's what he's known for. And there's many manipulative promoters who'll hire him knowing he's likely gonna show up inebriated, and that fans are willing to pay to see the trainwreck. And that only further feeds his addiction, as he now has money in his pocket.

Personally, I've gone through a battle with drugs and alcohol. It's a rough style to get out of once in it. Hopefully, something happens to wake him up and make him realize he needs to not only stop wrestling and stop drugs. So personally, I don't mind people mocking the guy, but it is rather low to do so.
